Mobile bar hire
The bar, the team and everything they need.
We arrive with our mobile bar, an experienced team and the equipment for the drinks we’ve agreed with you.
Before the event, we’ll discuss the menu, guest numbers, venue and timings, so everyone knows how the bar will run on the day.
Our standard service includes a bar manager, bar staff, glassware, ice, bar equipment and setup and clear-down. We also coordinate the alcohol licensing if your event needs it.
We size the bar to your event. It needs reasonably flat ground, and can run from a generator or battery where there’s no mains power.
Every event gets its own quote, with the costs and any minimum drinks spend explained before you book.

Weddings with The Dirty Olive
Let’s talk wedding drinks.
Champagne and cocktails for the reception, wine with dinner and a bar for the evening?
Or something more relaxed, with guests choosing their own drinks all day?
We’ll plan the drinks around your venue, your guests and the way you’d like to celebrate.
Three ways to arrange your wedding bar
Guest-paid bar
We bring a stocked bar, and your guests pay for their drinks as they order.
Part-hosted bar
Cover the welcome drinks, table wine or an agreed amount behind the bar. Once the hosted allowance is used up, guests buy their own drinks.
Fully hosted bar
Choose the menu and cover your guests’ drinks for the whole of the agreed service.
We’ll explain the costs and any minimum spend for the option you choose.
The drinks
What would you like us to serve?
A cocktail menu built around your favourites, a selection of wines for dinner, draught beer or a little of everything.
We’ll talk through what you’d like to offer and help you choose a menu that suits your guests. We can also offer a tasting before your event.
We can also offer alcohol-free drinks alongside the cocktails, spirits, wines, beer and cider.
And if you’d like something personal, we can discuss a cocktail created for the occasion and named for it.

Recent events
Seafront Sunday, Crown Pier.
For EDABL Seafront Sunday in August 2026, we created a cocktail menu inspired by familiar places and names around Guernsey.
Wheadon’s Wave combined mandarin, lime and hibiscus gin, while Cobo Sunset brought together spiced rum, pineapple, orange and grenadine.
Fauxquets Fizz was made with Guernsey apple juice and Rocquette cider, and there was an alcohol-free Golden Hour Spritz too.
For your event, we’ll start with what you’d like to serve.

Your questions answered
Good to know before booking.
Anything else, call 07839 214317 or email hello@thedirtyolive.gg.
Can our guests pay for their own drinks?
Yes. We offer a guest-paid bar where guests pay for their own drinks. Your quotation explains any agreed minimum drinks spend.
Can we put money behind the bar?
Yes. You can provide an agreed amount, cover certain drinks or pay for selected parts of the event. Once the allowance has been used, the bar can switch to guest-paid service.
Can we supply our own alcohol?
Not for the whole bar: we supply the drinks served at the bar, from the welcome drinks to the evening bar. If you’d like to provide your own table wine, we can serve it for a corkage charge.
Do you offer welcome drinks and table wine?
Yes. We can arrange drinks for your guests’ arrival, wine with a meal and Champagne or Prosecco for a toast.
Can we try the drinks first?
Yes. We can offer a tasting before your event, so you can try the drinks on your menu.
Can you provide draught beer and cider?
Yes, subject to the venue, equipment requirements and product availability. We can discuss the options when planning your menu.
Do you provide alcohol-free drinks?
Yes. We can include alcohol-free cocktails, beer, wine and other alternatives.
Do you arrange the alcohol permit, and are you insured?
Yes. We apply for the permit for your event and hold it, and any permit costs are shown in your quotation. We also hold public liability insurance.
What does the bar need at the venue?
Reasonably flat ground, though we can work around uneven ground. We size the bar to your event, and the power it needs depends on that size. Where there’s no mains supply, we can run from a generator or battery.
How long does set-up take?
For an event of around 100 to 150 guests, set-up can take two hours or more, so we arrive well before service begins. We clear everything away afterwards.
What if it rains at an outdoor event?
Cover isn’t included as standard, but we can bring a 3m × 3m or 6m × 3m gazebo for the bar.
Do you bring the glassware?
Yes. We supply the glassware, along with the ice and bar equipment.
What happens to unopened drinks?
Unopened wine and Champagne go back to our supplier. Other drinks from opened cases can’t be returned, and may be charged if they’re outside our house range.
Do you travel beyond Guernsey?
We’re based in Guernsey and can cover Herm, Sark and Alderney on request. If you’re from Guernsey and holding an event further afield, ask us about taking the bar there.
How much does it cost to hire The Dirty Olive?
Every event is quoted individually. Costs depend on guest numbers, service hours, venue requirements and how you’d like the bar to operate. Your quotation sets out any minimum drinks spend, any hire items and any permit costs.
How do we book?
Send us your event details using the enquiry form and we’ll reply within 24 to 48 hours. A deposit secures your date; the amount and our cancellation terms are shown in your Client Portal. Submitting an enquiry doesn’t confirm a booking.
